Other Details: The forum, to be held on Friday 3 November, provides a platform to share knowledge, experience and evidence for implementation of the response to antimicrobial resistance in the Australian context. The scientific program is rich in breadth and depth, with representatives from the academic, public, private and community sectors representing hospital, community and animal health, translational science and policy, using a "One Health" approach. Keynote speakers include Alison Holmes, Professor of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College and the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) and Associate Medical Director for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Anton Peleg, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology; Director, Department of Infectious Diseases, The Alfred Hospital and Monash University, Melbourne. A series of workshops will be held on the day before the Forum (Thursday 2 November) on a variety of topics including antibiotic stewardship for nurses and drug discovery and development.
